When I saw this; I first thought this would be great for my computer as I have one from monster that's similiar (and 3 times the price (I purchased this for $50.00)). I didn't think that this bag would get to me as fast as it did but it shipped right away and I got it in a few days. I wanted a bag that I could carry my laptop, hard drives, school supplies the occasional work file, cell phone, ipod , glasses, keys and some other spare items that are my must haves, this bag not only has the room for all those things, but room to spare, I can fit two rather large text books in it as well. I really like this little camera. It's great for carrying in a pocket and having at a moment's notice. I love the way it works, sliding open the lens cover to turn on, zooming with no lens protruding. I would say the camera was perfect except that it's photos are not quite as vivid as a heavier Kodak that I carry to special events, but cannot put in my pocket. The rechargeable battery is a very nice accessory, and a cost saver. I have had no problem with the camera, enjoy using it, and recommend it.

I realize that there are a host of cheaper knock off brands available at Amazon and at other vendors. However, staying with Nikon branded equipment is a good choice. I used mine recently at 220 volts in Peru and it worked perfectly without a converter. It is well built and the wide range of voltages and hertz settings insures world-wide capabilities. Why buy a knock-off when the real thing is reasonably priced? How much are your photos worth to you?

I purchased via Amazon's marketplace vendor at the lower price. Great service and speedy delivery, even during the Christmas season. I comparison shopped with Sony, Yamaha, and Denon, because I was interested in DLNA capability. The Yamaha options were expensive to me. Sony's DLNA only supported music. Denon 3808CI is a great comparison, but doesn't quite offer the codecs (e.g. THX) and options (e.g. Sirius and XM both supported, as well included iPod cable) as the Pioneer VSX-94TXH. Best surprise was Internet Radio. Sound is good, clarity is great. Also, Internet Radio via Pioneer is available with any internet connection, so I use it out of the home as well. Biggest con... It's huge. The front is roughly 8"x17", so for good ventilation, add another inch or two. The depth is a massive 18 1/16", as if the 1/16th matters when you have to accommodate cabling. It is very deep. It's difficult finding furniture with closing doors to accommodate.

Pioneer VSX-94TXH Home Audio Receiver I bought the Pioneer Elite VSX-94TXH about a month ago, primarily to take advantage of the newer audio codecs available on HD DVD and Blu-ray discs. (See my review of the Samsung BD-UP5000 combination HD DVD/Blu-ray player elsewhere on Amazon.) You can find a number of detailed reviews in prominent sources, both in hard-copy magazines (Sound & Vision and Home Theater come to mind) and a number of Web sites. Read them if you're interested in technical details about performance. I only want to add that this unit absolutely lives up to its billing. It is high-powered, built like a tank, and oozes quality. I have the usual complement of audio/video components attached to it, and it does a fine job of handling a wide array of analog and digital signals, including the new "lossless" audio codecs from Dolby and DTS. I was especially intrigued by the Home Media Gallery feature which allows this unit to access audio files on external devices connected to it via an Ethernet computer network. And if that network is also connected to the Internet, you can use your remote to search for and listen to Internet radio stations with as much ease as finding and listening to AM and FM. Of course, the sound quality of many Internet radio stations is not always what you might expect from a quality CD. However, it is eye-opening to be able to conveniently listen to this kind of programing through a quality sound system in the living room, rather than through the limited-capacity amp and speakers typically attached to a PC. At its list price of $1,600, I would consider this unit a good value. At its "street price" of about $1,200, it's a steal. Highly recommended.

Canon GL2 MiniDV Digital Camcorder w/20x Optical Zoom

The Canon GL2 (like its predecessor, the GL1, and its big brother, the XL1) is helping to blur the line between consumer and professional video equipment. This camcorder borrows most of those cameras' professional-quality components and puts them into a more compact, affordable camera. Though it's small enough to carry around and doesn't cost much more than a top-of-the-line consumer camcorder, the GL2 produces such high-quality results that it could be used as a broadcast video camera.

The 3 CCD System
The GL2 maximizes the capability of the DV format by using a 3 CCD (charge-coupled device) system with a separate CCD for each primary color (red, green, blue). A beam-splitting prism separates light passing through the lens into individual color components and each is sent to its own CCD. Compared to a single CCD, the 3 CCD system achieves outstanding detail with highly accurate color reproduction suitable for the demands of high-end video production - wide dynamic range, low color noise, high-contrast detail, natural color resolution and low-aliasing. The 3 CCD system also makes advanced Pixel Shift (for increased image quality) and Low Light Recording (for increased flexibility) possible.

Professional L-Series Fluorite Lens
Canon has satisfied the demands of experienced image makers for years through the power, design and quality of 35mm and broadcast TV lenses. Canon's Professional L-Series lenses utilize Fluorite, a material which provides outstanding resolution, contrast, and color reproduction- especially in lightweight, high-magnification lenses. Incorporated into the lens on the GL2, Fluorite delivers the ultimate in clarity and image quality. The Fluorite element inside the lens defeats color aberration -- the effect when the components of light stray from one another within a lens, causing a reduction in sharpness, contrast and color. The Fluorite lens precisely controls components of light providing an excellent balance of these three critical ingredients of picture quality. This is unobtainable with conventional optical glass.

To further improve image detail, Canon has intentionally shifted the green CCD (which contains 60 percent of the picture detail) half a pixel horizontally and vertically. This shift allows more accurate interpolation, resulting in an image that Canon claims rivals those from cameras with 410,000-pixel CCDs. Each pixel is 72 square microns, which is about 1.5 times the size as those in competing camcorders. This increased size increases light sensitivity, allowing you to shoot in low-light situations. All this results in outstanding detail, with highly accurate color reproduction suitable for the demands of high-end video production. The GL2 also incorporates a 20x Professional L-Series fluorite optical zoom lens, which is equivalent to 39.5-790mm, as well as a 100x digital zoom.

Audio
The GL2's omni-directional microphone is designed to deliver realistic stereo sound. Using the GL2's advanced accessory shoe expands your audio options. Audio can be recorded in 16-bit mode on two channels on one track. Alternatively, audio can be record in 12-bit mode, where the audio track is divided into two, and two channels of audio are recorded onto one track, with the other left over for audio dubbing.

Optical Image Stabilizer
Canon's superb optical stabilization system corrects camera shake instantly so even hand held shots, at full telephoto, and shots taken from a moving car, are smooth and steady. And since it is optical, there is no loss of image quality inevitable with electronic image stabilizers. It perfectly complements the high picture quality of the DV format.

Digital Stills
You can turn your GL2 into a still camera by switching to 1.7-megapixel photo mode and capturing high-resolution still images onto the camcorder's MultiMedia/Secure Digital card. (One 8 MB Secure Digital card is included with the GL2.) The full-frame images are free from time-lag blur. A six-blade circular iris, as found on Canon's top-of-the-line XL1 and XL1S models, is used for professional exposure control, helping to deliver stunning video and still photos.

Inputs and Outputs
The GL2 comes with the standard DV IEEE 1394 port (also known as FireWire) for a super-fast, lossless connection to a PC or other DV machines. You can also connect to your PC via a USB connection to download still photos. The GL2 is designed to handle two types of analog input and output: using audio/video cables (composite) or S-video. Both connections are on the camera back.

I own 2 Canon GL2's. The picture is really great when the camera is new. I use a VCR to import video for editing. After about 20 hours of use I can no longer use the vcr. I must use the camera to import video. I have had both cameras fixed twice for $240 dollars each time. After 5 months one went bad again. I went back to Canon and they have now raised the price to $400 for the same repair.They claim parts are hard to get. This is a current model! I have sworn off Sony, now it's Canon's turn. By the way the problem is caused by the same issue as the eject message, The tape transport.
Customer Review: Don't buy anything from Canon
I own the GL2. A pixel has blown. I called an authorized Canon repair service and they told me not to bother installing a new CCD chip as that one will fail as well. And that lesson would cost me $ (US). I hadn't had the GL2 long enough for the Tape Cassette failure the GLS is famous for to kick in yet. It is called "Planned Obsolescence" and is now designed to kick in after the warranty expires. I can't recommend any Canon products. My EOS 20D camera's flash unit has never popped up. I didn't use the flash until after the warranty was up. I know I was negligent for trusting Canon's reliability but know I know better. And the Canon 50mm lens I bought new has a defect like a scratch or speck inside the lens. Also discovered too late. Long story short, I never got it because their delivery people (and I paid for expedited shipping!)left it somewhere and got no delivery signature. And now, they're telling me it's going to take 15 days to "investigate". Do yourself a favor, if you want this camera, DO NOT ORDEF IT FROM BEACH CAMERA!

Customer Review: NOT a charger. What's the point?
This purchase taught me one thing and one thing only: An AC Adapter and a CHARGER are (apparently) two totally different things, even though they look EXACTLY the same and even have the same model numbers written all over them. This does not charge my laptop. It apparently doesn't charge ANYONE's laptops. I have an Inspiron 1525. This adaptor does keep my laptop on, but it does not charge the battery. Well, what's the point, then? Why would i want to leave my battery stuck at 35% all day? Waste of money, unless you hate your battery for some reason. That said, the company who sold me this actually offered to refund my money, which was very nice of them. I declined, and i just keep the adapter around just in case i might need to keep my laptop on and i don't feel like charging either of my batteries (which is, by the way, stupid).

Purchased this on March 25,2009 Stopped working by May 15,2009 not worth purchasing. Took it into a computer repair shop to see if I could get the cord replace the actual prongs on the cord have opened up, and they this is poor workmanship, but the cord can be replaced.

Customer Review: Long Lamp Life and Great Picture
I bought this projector in Jan 2007 and the lamp is still going strong. I use it in my basement theater room and the kids play the Xbox 360 in HD almost daily. We have a HD-DVD player and a Blu-Ray player attached and the image is outstanding. The projector is 14' from the 114" screen and it nearly fills it. Average screen size in HD is 108" with no distortion. I watch almost all sporting events on this screen and even hockey (lots of white in the background from the ice and boards) and the image never looks washed out. It is also very quiet, almost undetectable during sports and video-gaming. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a low-cost, long-lamp-life, projector.

After looking at 50" plasma TVs, we decided to buy the Mitsubishi HD4000. We expected to need a screen, or to have to paint a wall white, but the image is so bright we don't need to. Now we have an entire wall providing us a 96" television. The image has vivid colors and makes our HD capability much more noticeable than it was on our 32" flat screen. Great for watching movies and sports. A bit difficult for gaming, as the TV is behind you.

I bought this product because my computer's sound card had no drivers. (Literally. Drivers for the sound card were not available. Don't ask.) I was hoping that this product would work as a substitute. It did. Note that I have not tested the microphone port, so I have no idea whether that even works or not.
Customer Review: Well it's cheap and it works.
My friend had a laptop that he broke the audio jack in, so I bought this for him to use as a replacement. Works great, but it's fragile. Installed and worked without a hitch with XP and Vista. Just plug it in and it goes. I give it 3 stars instead of five because there is some barley audible noise and very cheaply made outer body. But hey $2 come on.

Very nice, built like a tank. Great protection adds some bulk but it is worth it. Only small problem when sliding in and out of case the leather lip can change the aspect ratio 16-9/4-3 etc to another position. No room for anything else. Has belt loop, stap is easy to remove and comes with wrist strap. I have ordered the handle but not rec. yet should be able to fit.

I really like this case a lot. It's very high quality and almost feels like Coach leather or something of that caliber. It fits both the Panasonic LX3 and the Leica D-LUX 4, which are essentially the same cameras. My black camera looks great in this case and the case allows me to wear it on my belt or over my shoulder with the included strap diagonally across my chest. It looks very classy and seems sturdy and well-made. True Leica quality!
